I used to buy ready-to-serve hams at the stores, but this year will be different. Before Thanksgiving, I made sure to try it at home first, and what can I say – it turned out phenomenal! I was surprised to learn how easy it is to make glazed ham. It is so much better than anything you can buy from the stores. You no longer have to worry about cooking the ham as you will be using a fully cooked smoked one for this recipe, which will make the process easier and faster.

Line a roasting pan with parchment paper. Get the ham and set on the pan. Fully cover it with aluminum foil. Place inside the center rack in the 325F preheated oven for 45 minutes.
While the ham is warming up, make the glaze. Place a small saucepan over heat. Add 4 tablespoons of butter and melt until golden brown.
Add the brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, orange marmalade, brown mustard, paprika, ground cinnamon, and pepper. Mix until well combined. Continue stirring on low heat for about 15 minutes. Keep in low, and stir often until ready to use.
Once the ham is ready, take off the foil, and remove some of the fat from the top of the ham.
Using a sharp knife, score your ham in a crisscross pattern.
Put some cloves on the intersections. This step is optional.
Pour the glaze on top of the ham and spread evenly. Move fast as you don’t want the glaze to cool down. Set your oven to 375F and place the ham inside the oven for 15 minutes.
Repeat step 7 two or three times until the internal temperature is about 135F. Check as you go along.
Place on your serving plate. Garnish with salad greens and orange slices. Serve and enjoy!
