Fill a sink with hot water and add a squirt of dish soap.
Soak the pan and basket for 10 minutes in the water with dish soap to help soften any of the stuck-on food.
Use a non-scratch scrubber sponge to help remove all of the stuck-on food and grease.
Wipe down the outside of the air fryer with a soft damp cloth. Clean the inside of the basket base or the part that holds the basket too. If there’s any food stuck to the heating element, wipe it with a sponge or a soft-bristled brush. Avoid using steel wool or anything too abrasive which can harm the coating on the heating element.
If you have the type of air fryer with metal racks, try using a stainless steel brush to scrub away excess food and quickly remove all of the fried food.
