To start, make the streusel topping. Combine 3/4 cup all-purpose flour, 1/4 cup old-fashioned rolled oats, 1/3 cup light brown sugar, 1/2 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp cardamom, and 1/4 tsp nutmeg in a large bowl and mix them. Next, add 8 tbsp butter that is cut into 1/2″ cubes and work them out until the mixture becomes a coarsely like texture. Now, add the chopped pecans and mix them well.

Now, de-seed and slice your pears into a large bowl, and add 1 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon. After this, add 2 tbsp all-purpose flour, 3 tbsp white granulated sugar, 1/2 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp cardamom, and 1/4 tsp nutmeg. Mix them well together, then transfer the mixture to a cast-iron skillet. Spread them evenly, then sprinkle the streusel on top. Place the skillet in the preheated 350 degrees F oven and bake for 50 to 60 minutes. Once done baking, let it cool for ten minutes, then serve.
