This homemade Mexican pizza by Cooking Con Claudia is way better than Taco Bell’s version. It’s absolutely delicious – the tomato sauce, ground beef, and cheesy topping. I made this for a party last weekend, and everyone couldn’t stop talking about it! It’s definitely worth the try.

Place a pan over heat and oil. Once hot, add the chopped onion and tomatoes. Saute for a couple of minutes. Add the meat and break it down into pieces.
Add all the seasonings and mix until well combined. Cook until browned, then make a well in the center. The oil will come out from the beef. Add 1 tablespoon of cornstarch and mix well until there are no lumps. Mix everything together and cook for 5 minutes. Turn off the heat and set it aside.
Make the salsa. Place a saucepan over medium heat. Add the tomato sauce, 3/4 cup of water, vinegar, minced onion, sugar, oregano, cumin, garlic powder, garlic salt, onion powder, chili powder, paprika, and cayenne pepper. Stir until well combined, then let it come to a simmer.
Once the sauce is simmering, lower the heat and let it simmer for another 10 to 15 minutes. Stir frequently.
Grab a toothpick and poke the tortilla on both sides. Fry the tortilla over medium-high heat until golden brown. Place them in the oven and bake for 5 minutes.
Spread a thin layer of beans to the baked tortilla, then add the meat. Grab another tortilla and spread the sauce. Place it on top of your meat, then sprinkle cheese on top of the tomato sauce. Garnish with tomatoes, black olives, chile serrano, and green onion.
Place it back in the oven and cook for 3 minutes or until the cheese is completely melted.
