Do you love eating avocadoes? I like adding them to my breakfast toast or smoothies. This fruit just makes everything better. But did you know you can freeze them? Yes, you can. Buy them in bulk, store them in your freezer, and get them whenever you want. Here are three ways to freeze your avocado by The Bealles. I have tried all of them, and the second method is definitely my favorite. Read on or watch the video below for full instructions.
Cut the avocado in half and remove the seed. Scoop the flesh with a spoon and place on a plate. Get a Ziploc bag and put the avocado flesh inside. Remove the air out and seal it before you freeze them. This will last for about a month in a Ziploc bag.
Peel the avocadoes, remove the seeds, and put them in the bowl. Add a teaspoon of lime juice or lemon juice for about two to three avocados. Mash it with a fork or you can use a food processor. Take a muffin tin and line it with paper liners. Take a spoonful of the mashed avocadoes and fill each liner. Place the whole muffin tin in the freezer and freeze them. Once frozen, remove each from the paper liner and put in a large ziploc bag. Place back in the freezer.
This is best if you don’t have enough storage. Do the same process as method 2, but instead of filling each paper liner, you will put them straight into a Ziploc bag. Seal it about 2/3 of the way and press it out. You want to remove the air and make it nice and flat. Seal it the rest of the way and place it in the freezer.
