While looking for a bread roll recipe I can make in the comforts of my home, I found this gem from In the Kitchen with Christa on YouTube. I tried making these bread rolls today and was lost for words; they taste so good! What’s even more surprising is how easy this bread recipe comes together. I’m no baking expert, but I was able to pull this one off. My family even thought I bought these from a bakery. So, if you’re also looking for a superior bread roll recipe, try this recipe today. Watch the video below to learn the step by step instructions.
In a bowl, add 1 cup of warm milk, 1 tbsp sugar, and 1 tbsp active dry yeast. Mix well and set the mixture aside to let the yeast bloom for about five to ten minutes. In another bowl, sift 3 cups of flour, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tbsp oregano, 1 tbsp dry basil, and 1/2 tsp salt. Mix until well combined. After ten minutes, add 1 large beaten egg to the yeast mixture along with 3 tbsp of olive oil. Mix well, then combine the dry and wet ingredients. Mix everything together until dough forms.

Now, transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead it for about ten minutes. After kneading, form the dough into a ball and place it into a lightly greased bowl. Cover the bowl and allow it to rise for about an hour. Next, transfer the dough back to a floured surface and lightly knead it. Once done, divide the dough into 14 pieces and form each into a ball. Place the dough balls on a greased baking tray and cover them for an hour.
While waiting, go ahead and make the butter mixture (optional). Finely chop some parsley and grate two cloves of garlic. Mix these two with some melted butter and set it aside. Once the dough balls are ready, place them in a preheated 350 degrees F oven and bake them for 20 to 25 minutes. After baking, brush the butter mixture you made earlier. Serve.
