Start by preheating the oven to 350F, then lightly spray a 9 x 5 inch loaf pan and line it with parchment paper.
Add flour, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl. Whisk together.
Add butter to the bowl of a stand mixer with the paddle attachment or a large bowl. Beat on medium speed until it’s light and fluffy for 3 minutes. Gradually add the sugar while beating for about 2 minutes. Next, mix in the lemon juice and zest, then add the eggs one at a time. Make sure it is well combined before adding another one. Stop mixing and scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed.
Turn the mixer to low, then alternately add the flour mixture and milk. Once mixed, pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Spread evenly.
Place inside the oven and bake for 65 to 70 minutes, or when a wooden pick comes out clean when inserted into the center of the cake. Let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Once done, remove it from the pan and let it cool completely on a wire rack.
Make the glaze. Whisk the powdered sugar, lemon juice, and milk in a medium bowl until smooth. Drizzle it over the cooled pound cake. Serve and enjoy!
