Place your flank steak on a plate and cover with cling wrap. Place it in the freezer for about 30 minutes before slicing.
In a bowl, combine all the ingredients for the stir-fry sauce. Stir well until the sugar dissolves.
Place a large skillet or pan over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of oil. Add broccoli florets and cook for about 4 to 5 minutes, partially covered with the lid. Stir several times until tender. Transfer to a plate.
Turn the heat to high and add 1 tablespoon of oil. Add sliced beef in a single layer and saute for about 2 minutes per side or until cooked through. Get one piece and test for doneness.
Add the sauce, then reduce the heat to medium/low. Let it simmer for about 3 to 4 minutes until it thickens. Add broccoli florets and stir until well coated. Add 1 to 2 tablespoons of water to thin the sauce if preferred.
Turn off the heat and it’s done. Garnish with sesame seeds on top if preferred. Serve with rice and enjoy!
