Ingredients:

  • Roast
  • Baby carrots
  • Potatoes, quartered
  • Water, as needed
  • 1 tbsp of cornstarch, per cup of liquid
  • Onion, chopped
  • Bell peppers, sliced
  • Garlic powder, to taste
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste

Directions:

Step 1

Place a pan on a stove over medium-high heat, then melt some butter, and place the roast. Allow the meat to sear for a few minutes until nice and brown, then turn the roast over to sear the other side, and sear the edges as well until browned. Add the chopped onions and bell peppers, then season with salt and garlic powder, and place a lid on the pot. Turn the heat to low, then allow the meat to cook for about 4 to 5 hours, make sure to check every 15 minutes for the first hour to see if your roast has enough juice around, and after that, check every hour.

Step 2

Stir the veggies nicely, then turn the roast over, and add the carrots and some water before placing the lid back on. Let them cook for about 15 minutes, then chop the potatoes, and them to the pot once the carrots are fork tender. Pour some more water, then put the lid back on, and cook until fork tender. Once the roast is tender, pour the cornstarch and water mixture to thicken your sauce, and bring it to a boil covered. Once boiling, allow it to simmer over low heat and turn off the eat, then serve, and enjoy!
