This pattern definitely got my attention. This is called the rickrack quilt by the Missouri Star on Youtube. Isn’t this a fun pattern? I love the zigzag on the edges and the large diamonds in the center when you combine the blocks. Read on or watch the video below for full instructions. Happy quilting!

Take a strip of color and a strip of white, and put them on top of each other. Cut 6 pieces of 2 1/2″ squares. Cut the rest into 4 1/2″, 6 1/2″, and 8 1/2″ strips.
Get one color and place a white square on the top. Draw a diagonal line from one corner to another. Sew on the line, then trim one side of it with a quarter of an inch seam allowance. Press it open. Repeat four more times to make a total of 5 half-square triangles.
Get the remaining 2 1/2″ squares and 2 half-square triangles. Arrange them into a four-patch just as shown below. Sew them in rows first, then sew them together with a quarter of an inch seam allowance. Iron it open.
Take all of your printed strips and sew a half-square triangle to one side of each one. Make sure to line up the white with the print. Press each strip unit open.
Start to build your block. Place the 4 1/2″ white strip on top of the four-patch. Next, get the 4 1/2″ strip with a half-square triangle and place it on the left. You will see the pattern as you go. Sew them together with a quarter of an inch seam allowance. Repeat with the longer strips until you make the block. Make a total of 36 blocks.
Get 4 blocks and arrange them so that the whites come together. Repeat with the other blocks. You need 3 of these big blocks for each row.
