Heads up sewing ladies because another lovely quilt is coming your way. Gather your tools and learn how to make this quilt now with this video tutorial by Fat Quarter Shop on YouTube! This is super fun and easy to put together, plus, you only need 3 kinds of fabrics to make a block and you can use whatever pattern you want. Read the written instructions down below now and while you’re at it watch the video as well for more details.
Step 1
Cut the fabric pieces as required in the pattern, then create four-patch blocks, and set them aside. Next, cut the rest of the fabric squares in half diagonally from corner to corner, then grab a four-patch square, and grab 2 background triangles folding them in half to find the midpoint. Lay them next to the side of their matching fabric and align the center, then sew them together with a ¼-inch seam allowance, and press them open with the seams going toward the background fabric.

Step 2
Trim off the dog ears, then add the light and dark triangle pieces next to their matching fabric, and sew them together with a ¼ inch seam allowance. Press them open, then trim ¼ inch away from the points, turn the block, and keep on adding the triangles with the same process until you’ve used the largest triangle. Trim the sides of the block nicely and straight, then proceed to sew the rest of the blocks, and sew the blocks together. Add the border and binding, then quilt however you want, and you’re done!
