Dough
Topping
Step 1
Heat the milk in the microwave until warm, then pour it into a large mixing bowl or the bowl of a stand mixer, and sprinkle the year. Stir them together until combined, then cover the bowl, and leave it for about 5 minutes to let the yeast activate. Once you see the mixture start to bubble, add the flour, honey, sugar, melted butter, and salt, then mix them all together using a dough hook attachment over medium speed for about 5 to 6 minutes or until the dough has become soft and elastic, and transfer the dough on the counter.

Step 2
Cut the dough into 12 pieces evenly, then roll each into a ball, line a slow cooker with parchment paper, and place the balls making sure to arrange them in a single layer. Cover the slow cooker with the lid, then cook them over a high setting for about 90 minutes or until the bottom is browned, and remove them from the slow cooker. Brush the top with melted butter, then sprinkle some coarse salt if desired, and if you want to brown the top, then broil them in the oven for about 1 to 2 minutes or until the top is brown. Serve and enjoy!
