This super soft and fluffy no-knead banana bun by Helly’s Simple Recipe is my absolute favorite. It does not contain any sugar – the natural sweetness from the banana is what makes this bread sweet and delicious. For this recipe, you only need 7 simple ingredients that can easily be found in any grocery store, or maybe you already have them in your pantry. Place the ripe bananas in a bowl and mash with a fork.
Add 1 egg and whisk until well incorporated. Next, add dry yeast and mix.
Place the unsalted butter in a small microwavable bowl and microwave for 20 seconds. Add it to the mixture with 1/2 cup of raisins. Mix until well combined.
Add salt and flour(gradually) and mix until well combined until it becomes sticky. Cover it with a plate or plastic wrap for 1 and 1/2 hours or until it doubles in size.
Fold the dough. Sprinkle some flour into your work surface and transfer the dough. Sprinkle more flour on top, fold it with a dough cutter then form it into a ball. Flatten it with your hands, then cut it into 9 equal sizes. Get one of the pieces, fold the sides to the middle, and form into a ball. Repeat for the remaining dough.
Place the dough balls in an 8×8 baking pan with some spaces in between. Cover it and let it double in size for about 45 minutes.
Sift dry flour on top of the dough balls.
Place inside the oven and bake at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for about 15 to 20 minutes.
