Step 1
Preheat your oven to 375°F, then line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper, and set it aside. Place a large skillet pan on a stove over medium heat, then add some olive oil, and let it heat up before adding chopped onion. Give them a good stir and let them cook for about 3 to 5 minutes until soft and translucent, then add the ground beef, and let them cook until nice and brown. Pour the water, then add the homemade taco seasoning, and mix them all together until well combined and incorporated. Lower your heat setting and let the meat mixture simmer for about 5 to 7 minutes.

Step 2
Transfer the parchment paper to your work surface, then place the pizza dough, and flatten it with a rolling pin until rectangular in shape about 10×15 inches in size. Cut along each long side of the dough into strips that are 1½ inches thick and about 3 inches long leaving about an inch at the top and bottom, then put the ground beef mixture all along the center, and sprinkle about ¾ cup of cheese on top before topping them with diced tomato.
Step 3
Fold the top of the dough down, then start braiding the strips together, and fold the bottom end up pinching them to seal as shown in the video. Gently brush the top and sides with melted butter, then sprinkle the remaining cheese all over the top, and transfer the dough into the rimmed baking sheet along with the parchment paper. Put it inside the preheated oven, then let it bake for about 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown, and set it aside to cool down. Cover the freshly baked taco braid with chopped romaine lettuce, tomato, and cheese, then serve with some sour cream and taco sauce before. Serve and enjoy!
