Are you looking for an easy quilt to do on the weekend? This beginner-friendly quilt project from Sew Yeah on Youtube is perfect for you. This quilt project uses fat quarters, and you can make this quilt in just a few hours. You can also arrange the blocks in whatever you like; totally up to you. Watch the video tutorial below to learn the step-by-step instructions.
Take your 8 & 1/2″ squares and lay them on top of each other right sides together, then mark a diagonal line down the center of the square. Once you have your square marked, sew a 1/4″ seam on both sides of that line. Do the same to the other square. After sewing, cut along the lines and separate them into half-square triangles. Now, take your 4 & 1/2″ squares and lay them down opposite sides from each other on the fabric you’ve just sewn together. Mark down the centers of both of these squares, then sew right down the line on both of them. Cut the excess off leaving a 1/4″ seam. Repeat this three more times, then take all those pieces and sew them together.

Press the blocks, then lay them out. You can arrange them in whatever you like. You could do them all solid to where you have diamonds, or you could do them all ombres to where they fade into a kind of a 3D effect, all totally up to you. After arranging them, sew them all together to finish the block.
