Ingredients:

  • 1 pound of unsliced loaf bread
  • 3.5 ounces of matured cheddar cheese, thinly sliced
  • 3.5 ounces of mozzarella cheese, thinly sliced
  • 1/3 cup of butter, melted
  • ½ cup (about 4 to 5 pieces) of green onions, chopped
  • 2 tsp of flax and sesame seeds, optional

Directions:

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F or 180°C, then grab the bread, and start cutting the top of the bread but not all the way through. First, make several lengthwise slices on the bread, then make several crosswise slices, and place it on top of a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil. In a mixing bowl, add the chopped onions, butter, flax, and sesame seeds, then stir them all together until well combined and set it aside.

Step 2

Get the sliced bread, then insert slices of cheese in between the bread cuts, and scoop out the bread mixture onto each cut. Wrap the foil around the bread until covered, then put it in the oven, and let it bake for about 15 minutes. Once done baking, open the foil, then put it back in the oven, and let it bake for an additional 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and gooey.
