Using paper to wrap your gifts is what we usually do with presents, however, you should start using reusable fabric bags, because not only can the people you gave it to, keep the bag itself as a remembrance, but you can also lessen the paper that will go to the trash. Learn how to easily sew this pretty bag by reading the instructions below and watching this video tutorial by SewVeryEasy on YouTube.
Step 1
You can either crumb quilt a bunch or res fabric scraps into an 8×8-inch square or simply use a single red fabric. Next, after printing and cutting out the maple pattern, place it on top of a fusible paper, then trace its shape on the paperback, and fuse it onto the wrong side of the red fabric by pressing it nicely with an iron. Make sure to press it well and flat before cutting it out and removing the paper at the back.

Step 2
Place the red maple at the bottom left side of the bag fabric making sure to put its glue side down on the right side, then give it a nice press, and carefully stitch the leaf about 1/8-inch from the edges. Next, place the ribbon folded in half about 10½ inches from the bottom of the bag, then pin it in place, and fold the bag lengthwise with their right sides together. Start sewing the bag including the ribbon, then pull the ribbon to the top of the bag, and box the bottom. Put the ribbon inside the bag, then sew the top cuff, and turn the whole bag right side out.
