Wanting to have an outside fire pit that will not break your bank? This square fire pit from Home Between The Oaks on Youtube only uses cinder blocks and cinder block caps! It’s easy to make with no fuss; and will only cost you below $58. What more excellent way to bond with your family than over a nice bonfire outside? Learn how to make this by watching the video below.
First, get some stakes and start staking out the dimensions of your fire pit. Once you got your four stakes in place, get a shovel and break up the ground. (Make sure to get all the clumps of grass out of the way so you’ll have good fresh soil.) Now, level all the soil as best as you can. After this, grab your first cinder block and put it in the intended place. Take note that this piece should be extremely level so take some time to level up the area where you going to place it.

Once you got the first cinder block leveled, move on to the next spot and start breaking up the soil to get it ready for the next block. Keep doing this and make sure you get your first row of blocks level and in relation to each other or else it will mess up all the blocks that go up above. Once you’ve completed the first row of blocks, it’s time to start stacking the second row of blocks. Just work your way around your perimeter, making sure that the blocks are even with the outside of the bottom row of blocks. After you’ve completed the second row, it’s time to put the cinder block caps. Grind a little bump off the top of one of the cinder blocks so that the caps can sit flush. Work your way around the perimeter, matching the caps with the cinder blocks. Once you’ve finished putting all the caps, rake all the loose dirt and debris around the fireplace, making it nice and presentable.
