In a deep large skillet, add extra virgin olive oil over medium-high heat. Saute chopped onions. Once they are translucent, add the ground beef and Italian sausages. Break the meat and cook until brown.
Break each piece of oven-ready lasagna into 6 parts while the meat is cooking.
Remove the grease and just leave 1 tablespoon of it. Stir your meat then add your broken lasagna pieces. Next, add crushed tomatoes and tomato sauce. Do not stir the mixture. Shake your pan back and forth to cover all the noodles but do not stir. Bring it to a simmer over medium-high heat. Once simmering, bring the heat to low and cover the pan for 10 minutes.
Remove the lid and start mixing your lasagna. Add the salt, sugar, and garlic powder. Mix all the seasonings into the sauce. Put the lid back on and cook again for another 10 minutes. Mix occasionally to make sure nothing gets stuck, especially the noodles.
Remove the lid and turn the heat off. Add the oregano to your lasagna and put spoons of ricotta cheese on top. Press it down but do not stir yet. Cover and let it rest for 5 minutes. Gently fold the ricotta cheese with the pasta. Do not blend it in. Lastly, sprinkle the mozzarella cheese on top. You can put it in the broiler to melt the cheese just make sure you use oven safe skillet.
