Step 1
In a shallow dish, add the flour, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper, then mix them until well combined, and set it aside. Next, butterfly the chicken breasts, then cut them through in half, and you’ll have a total of 4 chicken breasts. Dredge each piece in the flour mixture, then press it into the flour to get even coverage, and give them a good shake to remove any excess flour. Heat up and melt 1 tablespoon of butter and 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large pan over medium-high heat, then add the chicken breasts, and fry them for about 3 to 5 minutes on each side or until nice and golden brown depending on thickness.

Step 2
Set the cooked chicken breasts aside, then reduce your heat to medium, and add the garlic to the same pan. Saute the garlic for about 1 to 2 minutes until it turns brown, then pour the stock and give it a good stir making sure to scrape off any bits stuck to the bottom of the pan. Add the remaining 5 tablespoons of butter to the pan, then swiftly whisk as it melts to incorporate it into the stock until it turns slightly cloudy. Sprinkle the parsley, then season with salt and pepper, and allow it to simmer for a few minutes until the sauce thickens. Turn your heat to low, then put the chicken back into the pan, and baste them with the sauce. Serve it drizzled with the sauce and squeezed with lemon juice to taste.
