Hooter’s Daytona beach wings are definitely one of the restaurant’s crowd favorites. All Wings Everything on YouTube shares with us this copycat recipe that will be all you need to put you in the spirit of their Daytona Wings.
Ingredients:
Directions:
Prepare all the needed ingredients.
Preheat the oven to 375F.
In a mixing bowl, combine ½ cup flour, 1 tsp pepper, 1 tsp salt, and 1 tbsp paprika. Mix until well combined.
Pour half of the flour mixture into the chicken wing bowl and mix until the chickens are fully coated with flour. Gradually add the second half of flour and continue mixing.
Line the chicken pieces in a cooling rack and place them in the fridge to set for about 30 minutes. Line and spray baking spray on a baking sheet with a rack on top of aluminum foil.
Transfer the chicken to the rack, skin facing down. Make sure that each chicken is an inch or 1 ½ inch apart from the other.
Place the chickens in the oven to bake for 40 minutes at 375F. At midway, flip the chickens for an even crust.
While the wings are cooking, prepare the Daytona sauce in a heated pan by combining 3/4 cups Sweet Baby Ray’s, 1/4 cup Frank’s hot sauce, 1/4 cup honey, 1 tablespoon soy sauce, 1 tablespoon garlic powder, 2 tablespoons brown sugar, and 1/4 teaspoon Red Chili Flakes.
Mix well until all the ingredients are well incorporated and reach a slight boil. Once the sauce reaches a slight boil, reduce it to a simmer and simmer for about 5 minutes. Then, transfer it into a sauce dish. When the chicken wings are ready, transfer them to a mixing bowl.
Pour the prepared Daytona sauce over the chicken and mix well. Make sure the chickens are fully coated. Transfer them back to the baking rack and place them in the oven to cook the sauce for about 3-5 minutes.
Lastly, transfer the dish to a platter, serve, and enjoy!
