This copycat Texas Roadhouse dinner roll recipe by Julia Pacheco on YouTube is the closest to the original. It is indeed both tasty and delicious. Plus, it is super easy to make. I’m not going to keep this introduction any longer because it’s time for baking!
Ingredients:
Directions:
Prepare all the needed ingredients.
Place the milk in a mixing cup and warm it up to 82 degrees in the microwave. Then, add a packet of active dry yeast and mix. Add ¼ cup of honey and mix until well combined.
Once the ingredients are well combined, let the mixture sit for about 5 minutes. Add 3 tbsp of melted butter and crack in 1 room temperature egg in an electric mixer bowl. Next, add the 2 cups of flour and the milk and yeast mixture. Mix all the ingredients until well incorporated.
Gradually add the other 2 cups of flour while mixing. Make sure to scrape the sides of the bowl and mix it again. Once the dough is ready, remove it from the mixer and drop it on a flour sprinkled counter. Add flour on top of the dough and knead for 3-5 minutes.
Grease a bowl with some olive oil and place it in the dough to rise. Cover the bowl with sealing wrap and let it rise to twice its size for about an hour. When the dough has risen, drop it back on the flour sprinkled counter and roll it with a rolling pin.
Fold the dough in half and slice it into 24 pieces. Place the sliced dough into parchment paper-lined baking trays. Then, let them rise for about 30–45 minutes. Once risen, place them in the oven to bake for 12 minutes at 350F.
Brush some butter on top of the rolls, and enjoy!
