This hearty ground beef casserole recipe will have you reliving your days of hamburger helper but as an adult. It is a perfect lazy night dinner idea since it only takes about 15 minutes to cook, and assembly is even shorter since there aren’t any layers to the dish.

In a hot pan with olive oil, begin cooking your ground beef.
Boil your egg noodles in a pot over the stove.

Dice up one medium-sized onion and two teaspoons of garlic. Place some butter into a new frying pan and begin cooking your onion and garlic.
Preheat your onion to 400 degrees. Add your ground beef into the onions and garlic mixture. Season this with two teaspoons of Italian seasoning, one tablespoon of ground parsley, and two cups of tomato sauce. Mix all of that together before adding your diced tomatoes.
Add the egg noodles you cooked in step two into your pan of beef and vegetables. Mix it all together well.
Dump all of the mixtures from step five into a casserole dish. Be sure to butter your dish well before dumping the mixture into the dish. Sprinkle two cups of shredded cheddar cheese over the top of your casserole.

Place your casserole into the oven for about 15 minutes at 400 degrees. You will know it’s done when the edges are golden brown.
