#1 Microfiber cloth

These cleaning cloths are excellent for cleaning your glasses because they are actually designed to pick up and remove dirt and grease from the lenses. If you use a paper towel or your shirt, you will actually just smear the grease on the lenses.

#2 Glass cleaner

When using this, make sure to read the instructions on the back. Some of these cleaners can be harsh and can strip off that protective coating of your glasses.

#3 Use dish soap

When spray cleaner and lens cloth aren’t doing the trick, use dish soap. Don’t use anything that has “for sensitive skin” because that will actually get stuck on the lenses and smear it even more.

#4 Use warm water

Hot water can damage the coatings on the lenses. Also, make sure to use distilled water to clean them off.

#5 Try compressed air

If you don’t want any streaks of water drying on those lenses, grab a can of compressed air and use that to clean off all of the water in the lenses.

#6 Take into optical

If your glasses are really dirty, just bring them to a local optical or glasses shop.

#7 Avoid other chemicals

Be careful not to get any sort of other chemicals on your glasses. Never try to wash them using some sort of household chemicals.
