This 7-minute crockpot bread recipe by EZPZ Mealz on YouTube has a crusty exterior and soft chewy interior that is perfect for soups or sandwiches. It only takes 7 minutes to prep, and the crockpot would do the rest of the cooking. I think it’s impressive that you can make bread using a crockpot, but you do need to throw it in the oven to broil for a couple of minutes to finish it off. Also, you can use this bread recipe as a base, and add any seasonings or herbs for different flavors. I would love to make a cheesy garlic bread loaf or a sesame bread. There are a lot of variations, and it seems easy to make. I can’t wait to try to make it myself, because it’s quick and easy to follow along.

  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Other:

  • Parchment paper
  • 3 paper towels

Directions:

First, mix together warm water, yeast, and honey, and let it sit for a minute for the yeast to foam. Stir in the rest of the ingredients to make the bread dough, and line the crockpot with parchment paper. Place the ball of dough in the center of the crockpot.

Next, once the bread has cooked on HIGH for half an hour, or until the bottom is browned, remove it and add it to the baking tray. Broil on HIGH for about 2-3 minutes or until desired golden color.

Note: make sure to use the paper towels, and lay them across the top to catch the steam or it will cause the bread to be soggy in the cooking process. Plus, homemade crusty bread would taste great with any stews, soups, or dish.
