Instructions:

Step 1:

In a large mixing bowl, add the cake mix, 1/2 cup of melted butter, 1 cup of water, and 3 large eggs. Mix using a silicone spatula until well combined. Make sure to not overmix the mixture – a few lumps are fine.

Step 2:

Slice the Butterfinger bars into 1/4-inch pieces. Do not pulverize them, as you want chunks of them in the cake batter. Once done, add them to the mixture and gently stir.

Step 3:

Spray the slow cooker with a non-stick spray, then pour the batter.

Step 4:

Put the cover of the slow cooker and cook on high for about 1 hour and 45 minutes to 2 hours or until the center is set. You can check if the cake is done, by inserting a toothpick in the center. If it comes out clean, your cake is done.

Step 5:

After cooking the cake, place the hot fudge bar in the microwave without the lid for about 30 seconds or until it melts. Once melted, pour it over the cake and spread evenly using a spoon.
