If you’re starting to get tired of your usual sides, try making these smashed potatoes from Preppy Kitchen on Youtube. This potato recipe is very quick and easy to make, and it goes with everything. Your family will love how it is crispy on the outside and nice and creamy on the inside. You can also make this with ingredients probably in your kitchen already. Ingredients:

  • 1 & 1/2 lb baby yellow potatoes
  • 1 & 1/2 tsp salt, divided
  • 2 tbsp olive oil, divided
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 2 tsp chopped fresh dill

Directions:

Step 1

Grab a pot and add 1 tsp of salt, then add 1 & 1/2 lb baby yellow potatoes. Cover these up with an inch of water, then place them over medium-high heat and bring them to a boil. Cook them until they’re just fork-tender. While they’re cooking up, preheat your oven to 425 degrees F. Next, brush your baking pan with 1 tbsp of oil, then place the boiled potatoes on it.

Step 2

Grab a glass or a measuring cup and smash the potatoes to a quarter-inch thickness. After this, add 1/2 tsp ground black pepper over the top followed by 1/2 tsp salt, and 1 tsp of garlic powder. Drizzle 1 tbsp of olive oil over the potatoes after seasoning them. place it in the preheated oven and bake for 45 minutes. After baking, sprinkle 2 tsp of freshly chopped dill.
