Fold the two fabric in half, right sides together.
Take your lining piece and sew them on the sides but leave a 2″ inch opening on one side. Leave the top open. You can pin the ends of the opening for your guide.
Get the folded outside fabric and turn it to the side. Make a mark 3/4″ from the top edge (unfolded edge), and 3/4″ from the previous mark. Pin on the marks to make sure you won’t sew on them. Sew both sides using a quarter inch seam allowance, making sure to leave the opening where the pins are. Backstitch on the ends of the opening.
Remove the pins. Take the outside fabric and open it up sideways. Press the seams open. Turn it right side out. Turn out the edges using your point turner. Slip it inside the lining. Line the seams and pin them in place. Press it flat on your surface. Make a line 3/4″ away from the top edge, then make another line 3/4″ away from the first one. Sew around the top edge with a quarter of an inch seam allowance.
Pull it right side out through the opening. Sew the opening.
Tuck the lining inside. You are going to make three stitches. Stitch 1/8″, 1/4″, and 1 1/4″ from the top edge.
Take your twine and thread it through the opening using a large safety pin.
