My mornings are not complete without fried rice. They are fun and easy to cook, not to mention; also super tasty. Aaron and Claire from Youtube share not just one, but four amazing super-quick fried rice recipes! You don’t need a lot of ingredients for this; most of them are probably in your kitchen already. Learn these hearty recipes by watching the tutorial below.

Ingredients:

Egg fried rice

  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup of cooked rice (210 g)
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce (you can also use soy sauce, chicken stock, or chicken bouillon powder to taste)
  • 1 tbsp neutral-tasting oil
  • 1 – 2 green onions (15 g)

Shrimp fried rice

  • 1 – 2 green onions
  • 1/3 carrot
  • 2 tbsp cooking oil
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1/2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 6 – 7 cooked shrimp
  • 1 tsp fish sauce
  • microgreens (or salad greens)

Bacon fried rice

  • 1 – 2 green onions
  • 1 slice uncooked bacon (or ground pork)
  • Yukon Yukon gold potato
  • 1/3 carrot
  • 1 tbsp cooking oil
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1/2 tbsp concentrated chicken stock
  • 1 large egg

Kimchi fried rice

  • 1 slice of uncooked bacon
  • 1 – 2 green onions
  • 1 cup of well-fermented kimchi
  • 1 tbsp cooking oil
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Korean chili pepper flakes
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 large egg

Directions:

Step 1

For the egg fried rice. In a bowl, beat two large eggs. Add the rice, then mix it. Season with 1 tbsp of oyster sauce (or any available seasoning to you) and 1 tbsp of cooking oil. After this, chopped up 2 green onions on a chopping board. Put some oil in a pan, then add the white part of the red onions, once it produces an aroma, put the heat on high then add the rice and egg mixture. Keep stirring it until all the rice is coated with eggs. Add the green onions and continue to stir-fry for a good 1-2 minutes.

Step 2

For the shrimp fried rice. Chopped the green onions and the carrot. Cut the carrot as small as possible for it to cook faster. Add some oil to a pan, then toss the white parts of the green onions.  Crack an egg into the pan, then stir it quickly. Add the rice and mix it well. Next, move the rice to one corner of the pan, then add 1/2 tbsp of soy sauce, and stir-fry it with the rice. Next, add the carrots and the shrimp. Lastly, add 1 tsp of fish salt, then fry for another minute. Garnish with green onions.

Step 3

For the bacon fried rice. Chopped the bacon into small pieces as well as the green onions and carrot. Next, chop the potato into very small pieces. In an oiled pan, put the bacon followed by the green onions. When the aroma started coming out, move it to one side, then add 1 tbsp of soy sauce. Mix all together. Add the rice and stir fry them. After this, add 1 tbsp of chicken stock, and mix well. Lastly, add the chopped-up potato and carrot. Cook for some time for it to be fully cooked.

Step 4

For the kimchi fried rice. Chopped the bacon and green onions into small pieces. Cut the kimchi into small pieces using scissors. Put some oil in a pan then fry the bacon followed by the green onions. Move them to one corner, then add 1 tbsp of soy sauce. Mix it. Add the kimchi then continue stirring. Put in some chili pepper flakes. Put 1/2 tsp of sugar and stir fry for at least 3 minutes. Lastly, add the rice and mix it well.
