If you love making your bread from scratch, you surely want to try this sandwich bread recipe from Bigger Bolder Baking on YouTube. This bread recipe only needs five ingredients, and the best part is it doesn’t need any kneading! That’s right, it’s a beginner-friendly recipe and perfect for you if you love homemade baked goodies. Watch the video tutorial below to learn the step by step instructions.

Ingredients:

  • 1 3/4 cups of bread flour
  • 1 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp instant yeast
  • 1 1/2 cups of water, lukewarm

Directions:

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, add 1 3/4 cups of bread flour, 1 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 1/2 tsp salt, and 1 tsp instant yeast (make sure to add the salt to one side, and the yeast to the other side). Mix all together to combine. Once done, add 1 1/2 cups of lukewarm water and continue to mix it.  After this, shape the dough into a ball and cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a shower cap. Let it sit at room temperature for a minimum of 12 hours and a maximum of 18 hours.

Step 2

Once you’re done fermenting the dough, flour your working surface and transfer the dough into it. Punch the gas out and flour it, then roll the dough out at around eight by twelve inches. After this, fold a third, then a third on the other side, overlapping the other. Now, generously grease your loaf pan with olive, then place your dough. Cover it with plastic wrap and proof the dough for 1 1/2 hours to 2 hours in a warm place. (If your dough has doubled in size and when you try to poke it, and the indentation of your finger stays, it’s ready to be baked.)

Step 3

Lastly, take a little blade and slice the dough right down the middle. Place the loaf pan in a preheated 450 degrees F oven and bake the bread for 35 to 40 minutes.
