Almonds have a nutty and toasty taste that people love. As for me, I like them in chocolates. I think they are just simply the best! The sweetness from the chocolate and the nutty flavor and crunch from the almonds are just addicting. I can finish a lot in just one sitting. There are tons of recipes you can make with this type of nut. One of them that I always make at home is this 4 ingredient moist and fluffy almond cake by CooksterMom on Youtube. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
In a big bowl, crack 4 eggs. Next, add 1 cup of sugar and 1 teaspoon of almond extract. Beat the ingredients with a hand mixer until the consistency becomes light and fluffy. Do not overbeat the mixture.
Once you have the right consistency, add 1 and 1/3 cup of almond flour into the bowl. Mix all ingredients until well combined using a spatula.
Line your 8-inch round pan with parchment paper and grease the sides and bottom using butter or oil.
Pour the mixture into the round pan and place in the preheated oven at 350 degrees F. Bake for about 35 to 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
After 35 or 40 minutes, remove the almond cake from the oven and let it cool completely. Once cooled, remove from the pan and transfer to a plate.
Sift some powdered sugar on top of the almond cake. You can skip this part if you don’t like it to be too sweet. Slice then serve. Enjoy!
