Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups warm water

  • 4 cups of flour
  • 1 tsp salt

Directions:

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, add 1 1/2 cups warm water and 2 tbsp dry yeast. Mix until the yeast melts, then leave it for ten minutes. After ten minutes, add 4 cups of flour and 1 tsp salt. Mix well until dough forms, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise at room temperature for two hours. After two hours, transfer the dough to a floured working surface. Stretch and fold the dough over once or twice, then shape it into a large ball.

Step 2

Cover the dough with the damp cloth again and let it rise at room temperature for 30 minutes. Preheat your oven to 425 degrees at this point and put a heavy-bottomed pot inside as it heats. Now, transfer the dough into the heated pot, slit it across on top, then cover it with the lid. Place it in the preheated oven and bake for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, remove the lid and bake for another 15 to 20 minutes. Serve and enjoy!
