I have some really cool quilt pieces that I want to hang around our house. I don’t want to damage them, so I searched for some tips on how to hang them properly. While browsing Youtube, I found these cool tips from Material Girl Quilts. These tips are so handy, and I got to hang my favorite pieces around the house without damaging them. If you also want to learn, watch the video below.
One of the most common ways is by using thumbtacks. With this option, place the thumbtacks (preferably the clear ones) in your quilt top right where the binding and quilt top meets and push them into the wall. This is a quick and easy option for you if you want to hang a mini quilt right away. It’s also a great option if you don’t plan to ever take down the quilt off the wall.

You can hang even larger quilts if you use needle-strength pins. For each corner, hammer them into the wall once or twice along the width and length of the quilt. These won’t go through a stud so when you hit one; move over and hammer it in there.
To make this, you’ll need two squares of fabric. Fold your squares of fabric on the diagonal and place them in adjacent corners of the quilt you’re hanging. Pin them in place. Next, add your binding to your quilt and sew. With this option, you have to plan ahead and add pockets before you put the binding in. Now, to hang the quilt, use dowel rods. Simply slide the dowel rod into the pockets you made and hang it on the wall.
