To make grandma’s cream cookies, you’ll need flour, sour cream, and cold butter. They are easy to prepare – ready in just 6 simple steps. You can shape the cookies however you like, but the star shape makes them look more appetizing. Make them for a fun weekend activity with the kids or the whole family.

For coating (optional):
In a large bowl, add 4.4 oz of flour, 3.5 oz of sour cream, and 72.65 oz of cold butter. Beat until well combined. It should be fluffy and smooth.
Take a sheet of cling wrap and transfer the mixture. Cover it with cling wrap and flatten it into a disc. Place it in the fridge for about 2 hours.
After 2 hours, remove it from the fridge. Lightly flour your work surface and transfer the dough. Sprinkle more flour on top then flatten the dough using a rolling pin until it is about 0.2 inches thick.
Use cut cookie cutter to cut the dough into desired shapes. Place on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Make sure to space them.
Place in the oven and bake at 350F for about 15 to 18 minutes.
In a small bowl, mix cinnamon and sugar. While the cookies are still warm, coat each one with the cinnamon sugar mixture. Serve and enjoy!
