Sorbet is different from ice cream since it does not contain dairy. It is made from fruit juice or fruit puree. If you are lactose intolerant, this is a great alternative to satisfy your cravings. To make this cherry sorbet, you only need cherries, lemon juice, and sugar. If you do not like sugar, you can use honey or any sweetener you prefer. You can also add basil leaves for extra flavor.

Start by pitting the cherries and placing them in the freezer overnight.
Add the frozen cherries into a blender, followed by the sugar and lemon juice.
Blend at high speed and drop in the fresh basil leaves if adding. You might need to push the cherries down while blending. If it won’t blend, add a teaspoon of lemon juice one at a time until you reach your desired consistency.
Once the mixture is well blended, transfer it to an airtight container and freeze for a couple of hours before serving. Enjoy!
