  • 8.5 oz of condensed milk
  • 1 cup of pure cocoa powder (no sugar)

Step 1:

Pour 8.5 oz of condensed milk into a pot and place over heat. Continuously stir for the first few minutes then let it boil. This will boil fast – make sure not to leave it while cooking. When it starts bubbling lightly with foams, remove it from heat, so it doesn’t burn. You can leave it in the pot or transfer it into a bowl.

Step 2:

Sift a cup of pure cocoa powder in 3 batches to remove the lumps into the condensed milk while it’s still hot. The cocoa powder gets lumpy easily so you need to separate them in batches. Sift and mix well with a silicone spatula until it has a thick consistency.

Step 3:

Cover a baking dish or container with plastic wrap. Transfer the mixture, spread evenly, and cover plastic wrap on top. Place it in the fridge and refrigerate for 2 to 3 hours before continuing.

Step 4:

Sprinkle some cocoa powder into your plate or work surface and remove the chocolate from the fridge. Take it out from the container and cut it into even pieces. Sift some more cocoa powder on top to prevent sticking while shaping. Shape them into circles. (Normally, truffles are shaped in circles, but you can shape them as you want). Transfer to a serving plate and sift cocoa powder on top. Enjoy!
