Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (200 g) semi-sweet dark chocolate
  • 1 & 3/4 cup (400 ml) whipping cream (divided)

Directions:

Step 1

Cut the dark chocolate into small pieces. Transfer into a heat-resistant bowl. Next, place the bowl on top of a pan with simmering water. Add 1/2 cup (100 ml) of whipping cream (room temperature) into the bowl. (It’s important to use room temperature cream as cold cream may break the glass bowl.) Mix them together until the chocolate is completely melted. After this, take the bowl off and let it cool for five to ten minutes.

In a bowl, add 1 & 1/4 cup (300 ml) of chilled whipping cream. Whip it until soft consistency. Add the cooled chocolate in portions and keep whisking the cream. Fill the piping bag with the mousse and use this to fill up a dessert glass. (This step is totally optional, you can just scoop the mousse into the glass.)
