Kids or even adults love doughnuts. It has been one of the most popular pastries all over the the world with different flavors and fillings. But did you know you can easily make them at home? This is the 15 minute homemade donuts recipe by Familia Aday on Youtube. Now you can have freshly baked ones at home any time of the week. Watch the video below for the full instructions.



For the doughnuts:

  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons of oil
  • 3/4 cup of milk
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 3 and 1/4 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 2 and 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour (divided)
  • oil for frying

For the glaze:

  • 1/2 cup of powdered sugar
  • 2 tp 3 tablespoons of milk
  • extra powdered sugar (optional, if you don’t want the glaze)

Step 1:

In a bowl, add 1 egg, 2 tablespoons of oil, 3/4 cup of milk, 1 tablespoon of sugar, 1 teaspoon of salt, 3 and 1/4 teaspoon of baking powder, 2 and 3 1/4 teaspoon of baking powder. Mix all ingredients using a whisk. Next, add 1 cup of all-purpose flour and mix. Then add the second cup and mix again. Use a hand mixer or  stand mixer to speed up the process. Lastly, add the 1/2 cup of flour and mix again until a dough forms.

Step 2:

Sprinkle some flour on your work surface and transfer the dough. Knead the dough then form into a ball. Next, flatten using a rolling pin.

Step 3:

Cut the dough using a donut cutter or any round cutter you can use. Take off the small circles from the center of each piece.

Step 4:

Put some oil in a frying pan over heat. Once the oil is hot, put the cut dough pieces. Do not overcrowd the pan. Fry the donuts on each side until it becomes golden brown. Once done cooking, remove from heat.

Step 5:

For the glaze. Add 1/2 cup of powdered sugar and 2-3 tablespoons of milk into a bowl. Mix the mixture and start glazing the donuts by dipping each. If you don’t want to glaze them, you can just sift some powdered sugar on top.
