But if you want a more challenging approach, then try this version by Teresa DownUnder on YouTube, it adds an extra step to making a half-square triangle quilt block, but it makes a huge difference!

What also makes this quilt project even better than it already is, is the fact that you will only need 2 contrasting fabrics of your choice, and once you’re done making a couple of quilt blocks, then you can arrange them however you want. Learn how now by watching the video tutorial below.
Step 1
Cut two squares at 10 inches or use two layer cakes instead, then stack them with their right sides facing, and draw a diagonal line on the wrong side from corner to corner.
Step 2
Pin them together, then stitch them on either side of the line with ¼ inch seam allowance, and cut them apart along the line.
Step 3
Press the seams open, then trim the block to 8.5 inches, and cut the block at 2 inches from the edge on each side.
Step 4
Rearrange the side and corner pieces as demonstrated in the video tutorial, then stitch them together per row and then the rows to each other, and press the seams as you go.
