If you’re new to quilting and are looking for a challenging quilt project to try this weekend, then you might just love this one by Quilting Blocks & Patterns on YouTube. This quilt block is super easy to make and only uses half-square triangles, squares, and rectangles.

Cutting Requirements:
White Fabric
Purple Fabric
Black Fabric
Step 1
Make the half-square triangles and refer to the layout to see what combinations you’ll need. To make the half-square triangles, stack the squares with their right sides facing, then line the back diagonally from corner to corner, and stitch on either side of the line with ¼ inch seam allowance.
Step 2
Cut it apart along the line, then press it open, and cut off the nubs at the corner. Proceed to make the rest of the pieces, then arrange them as demonstrated in the video, and start stitching them per corner block units. Now, stitch them per row and then the rows to each other, then press the seams as you go.
