Do you have some scrap pieces of wood taking up space? Perhaps a few wood pallets? You can use a few pieces of your scrap wood to make a lot of DIY projects. All you need is a few tools and supplies for the work that is required.

You may need to cut some of the wood to the proper size to make this great fruit and veggie holder. This means you will need to use a tape measure and a saw. Wood glue and nails will be used to secure the wood for the finished product.

I was really tired of forgetting what I had stored away in my fridge…you know, out of sight, out of mind! I had been wanting to make something simple to hold all my fruits and veggies, so I quickly built this very easy wooden storage rack. It has been so convenient and as a result, things get eaten and not forgotten!

This is a great item to use at home or to make as a gift. The time to finish this project is approximately an hour, but you should wait for the glue to dry. This was a great solution to a big problem I was having about forgetting what was in the crispers.

Build a one of a kind fruit and vegetable holder by painting it any color you want, stain it or leave it in it’s natural condition. I saw a really cute one on Pinterest that was painted white and they had attached cute black chalkboards in the middle of each shelf with some jute or twine and it looked so adorable with “Fruit” and “Vegetables” written on the chalkboards…kind of french country! Since I loved it so much, that’s exactly how I made mine!
