I’d never seen an umbrella wreath and loved this unique and interesting idea! This simple, and slightly unorthodox, “wreath” provides big impact with minimal supplies and preparation. My kind of project! I decided to give it a try and the results have me smiling each time I look at my front door.
With spring is in the air I couldn’t hardly wait to begin planting and decorating for warmer weather. I was definitely ready for some warm weather and to put winter behind me.
It’s time to begin thinking about different ways to decorate your porch for the warmer seasons. It took all of about 5 minutes to do.
I was so ready for spring and wanted to add a bit of color to my front door. Making this wreath really got me in the mood for all of the spring activities by just doing this one simple DIY project…funny how that works!
This was a super easy project, and adds just that pop of color my porch needed for spring. Megan, who does this project, in the attached tutorial, uses silk flowers in her umbrella, but you can use fresh flowers with water filled plastic baggies attached with ties if you don’t like silk flowers.
A lady on Pinterest put fresh tulips in hers and said she placed each mini bouquet in a section of the umbrella. Each section makes a perfect “vase” for a few tulips.
