This is such a fabulous idea! You don’t see many paper Christmas trees, these being inspired by Anthropologie, which we all know turns out the most different and lovely items!

Not only is this the perfect decoration, but it is an even better way to recycle old books and music sheets!  I love unusual things like this for the holiday season!

Many of us have old books that we either take to Good Will or some other thrift shop to make more room for other things in our homes. And, if not, you can always pick a couple up at a second had store. This is a great idea for repurposing these old books. You can get this super cool tree out every year for many years to come.

This is such an easy DIY project…cheap too! All you need is some old books (the older the better for a vintage antiqued look) and a dowl and a little square piece of wood with a hole drilled into it. Then they put a little glue in the hole and put the dowl in the hole. They let that dry for 24 hrs.

They started cutting the pages out of the books with an exacto knife.  They cut about 1/4 of the way down from the top and slide it down the dowl. Spread the pages out in different directions and keep going until the tree is full and the pages are to the top. They top it off by wrapping and gluing string around a styrofoam ball as a tree topper.

Watch how these guys with Babble does this DIY project in their step by step tutorial.
